PROF MATSASENG FOUNDATION

In a remarkable display of commitment to community development and social responsibility, Prof Matsaseng honored the prestigious Comrade’s Marathon by raising funds for the Baphumelele Children’s Home. This initiative was made possible through the generous support of Backabuddy, a platform that played a key role in making this campaign a success.

Through the collective efforts of the community and dedicated donors, Prof Matsaseng successfully raised R22,500. This generous contribution has a significant and lasting impact, as it goes towards supporting the various essential programs at Baphumelele Children’s Home.

In the coming year, we plan to expand our efforts to other causes that benefit children and families in need, ensuring that we continue making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those who require assistance. The fundraising success and Prof. Matsaseng’s involvement in the Comrades Marathon are a testament to the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children at Baphumelele Children’s Home. With the funds raised, we are confident that the home will continue to offer a safe and nurturing environment for the children, empowering them to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.

We thank everyone who contributed to this effort and look forward to continuing our work in the upcoming year, with even greater goals and initiatives in mind.

REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND IVF

The Prof. Matsaseng Foundation successfully hosted a significant event aimed at raising awareness and educating the community on
reproductive health and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

This event was an essential milestone for the Foundation as it directly addressed the growing need for education on reproductive health issues and assisted reproductive technologies in our community.

The purpose of this event was to provide in depth education on reproductive health and the IVF procedure. To reduce stigma and misconceptions surrounding infertility and IVF. To offer support and guidance to individuals and couples seeking to understand their
options for family planning and fertility treatment.
To facilitate collaboration between healthcare professionals and the community, allowing for better access to information and resources.

The professionals facilitated open dialogue with attendees, answered questions, and provided personalized advice to individuals in attendance.

The event also provided a platform for individuals to connect with fertility clinics and health organizations, further enhancing access
to fertility treatments and care. Attendees were provided with resources, pamphlets, and contact information for local healthcare
providers, ensuring ongoing support post event.

Attendees gained valuable insights into fertility treatment options, overcoming infertility challenges, and maintaining overall
reproductive well-being. A series of informative sessions were conducted by experienced doctors and specialists in the
fields of reproductive health and IVF.

Doctors and medical practitioners played an instrumental role in ensuring the event’s success. Their contributions to educating the
community about the intricacies of IVF and reproductive health were invaluable.

CHRISTMAS EVENT

The Prof. Matsaseng Foundation has always been committed to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. Last
year, the Foundation hosted a heartwarming and successful Christmas Lunch at Baphumelele Children’s Home, one of the
many initiatives we have been proud to fund and support.

This event exemplified the Foundation’s dedication to creating positive, lasting impacts for children in need, providing them
with not just care but also moments of joy and celebration during the holiday season.

The Christmas Lunch event brought much needed happiness and festive spirit to the children of Baphumelele Children’s Home.
Over 100 children, along with staff and volunteers, enjoyed a delicious meal, a festive atmosphere, and a range of fun
activities. The event was designed not only to nourish but also to bring joy and a sense of community to the children, helping them to feel loved and valued.

In keeping with the spirit of giving, the Foundation provided gifts for each child. These thoughtful gifts, ranging from toys to educational materials, were donated by several generous individuals and Rise Against Hunger organizations that supported the event. The
gifts were not only a source of happiness but also helped enhance the children’s learning and development.

The event was attended by volunteers and several corporate partners. The collective effort from everyone involved made this event
a heartwarming success, creating a safe space for the children to enjoy the festivities while fostering a sense of unity and compassion
within the wider community.
